Terms of Use

Effective September 2, 2026

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Viridian Financial Technologies (“Viridian”, “we”, “us”) covering the Viridian web application and the Viridian iOS app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Viridian helps individuals and small businesses view and organize their own financial accounts — separating business and personal activity, categorizing transactions, and producing cash-flow, budget and reporting views. Viridian is a bookkeeping and organization tool. It is not a bank, is not a financial, investment, legal or tax advisor, and does not move money or provide financial advice. Figures shown are for your own reference and are not a substitute for professional advice or for your financial institution’s official records.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised. You may delete your account at any time from Settings in either app.

Connecting financial accounts

Bank connections are handled by Stripe Financial Connections. Viridian never receives or stores your online banking credentials and receives read-only balances, transactions and account details for the institutions you explicitly choose to connect. You may disconnect an institution at any time to stop future data access. You confirm you are authorized to connect each account you link.

Membership and billing

Viridian is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: Viridian Membership, a 1-month subscription at $9.99 per month, which may include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are billed to your Apple ID through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple ID settings — cancelling in the app does not cancel it with Apple. Purchases made through the App Store are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms.

Subscriptions purchased on the web are billed through Stripe and renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

We may change prices or plans. We will give notice before a change affects your renewal, and continuing your subscription after that means you accept the new price.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service unlawfully, connect accounts you are not authorized to access, attempt to breach or probe our security, interfere with or overload the Service, scrape or resell it, or reverse engineer it except where that restriction is prohibited by law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Your content and our software

You keep ownership of the information in your account. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process and display it in order to operate the Service. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service and its apps. We retain all rights in the software, design and trademarks.

Availability and accuracy

We work to keep Viridian reliable, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Account data is supplied by third parties and institutions and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify against your financial institution before relying on a figure for tax, filing or other important decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Viridian is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, liability limits and dispute terms — will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Viridian changes. We will post the updated Terms here with a revised effective date, and material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Florida will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
